Who is Jonathan Szeto?

Welcome to my website. This is a place for me to share my thoughts about my life and the lessons I’ve learned from it. I believe that the experiences I’ve lived, and the lessons I’ve learned from them, can help many people.

I’ve built nearly a decade and a half of experience programming databases in SQL. I specialize in database architecture, business intelligence, and ETL. Despite having no programming background, I became a SQL expert while on the verge of bankruptcy after a string of terminations in manufacturing. Now, not only do I have a successful career in data engineering, I have also left jobs on my own terms.
